Culinair Midzomernachttoernooi 2012

Van zaterdag 18 augustus 12.00 uur tot zondag 12.30 uur wordt in Berlicum het eerste Culinair Midzomernachttoernooi georganiseerd.

Hoe is het idee onstaan?

John en Els Kuijpers hadden het idee om weer eens een culinair toernooi te organiseren en

Gerda van Oorschot liep met het idee rond voor een landelijk 24-uurs toernooi. Voeg die 2 ideeën samen en je hebt een Culinair Midzomernachttoernooi.

Wat is de bedoeling?

Ieder lid van de Nederlandse Mahjongbond en buitenlandse spelers, kunnen aan dit toernooi meedoen.
We maken geen onderscheid tussen competitiespelers en recreanten. Het moet vooral een gezellig toernooi worden waarbij de uitdaging voor jezelf is om het 24 uur vol te houden.

Er wordt gespeeld volgens de International Mahjong Competition Rules, iedere speelronde duurt 2 uur. Tussen iedere ronde is er een half uur pauze waarin lekkere hapjes worden geserveerd. Na afloop van het toernooi is er een gezamenlijk lunch. Zoals je hieronder kunt zien is er gekozen voor licht verteerbaar eten. Dit voorkomt dat je "inkakt" tijdens het toernooi.

Naast bovengenoemd eten is de koffie/thee bij ontvangst en de koffie, thee, jus en melk bij de lunch inbeprepen. Andere consumpties zijn voor eigen rekening.

Op 1 maart 2012 start de inscrhijving en duurt tot UITERLIJK 30 juni 2012.
We moeten minimaal 40 deelnemers hebben om het toernooi door te laten gaan.

Culinary Midsummer Tournament 2012

From Saturday the 18th of August starting at 12.00 hours till Sunday the 19th of August ending at 12.30 hours, we will organise the first Culinary Midsummer Tournament.

How the idea was born

John & Els Kuijpers again had the idea to organise a second culinary tournament. Gerda van Oorschot had the idea for organising an 24-hours tournament. Combine those 2 ideas and you have a Culinary Midsummer Tournament.

What is the goal of this tournament?

Each member of the Dutch Mahjong Association and foreign players may participate in this tournament. We make no distinction between competitive and recreational players. It must especially be a nice tournament where the challenge is, for yourself, to play 24 hours Mahjong.

We are playing in according to the International Mahjong Competition Rules, each round lasts 2 hours. Between each round there is a half hour break where snacks are being served. The tournament ends with a joint lunch. As you can see below, easily digestible food is chosen.
